If our technology ever allows us to........?

Doesn't teleportation mean the atoms of the body are pretty much disintegrated and remade, in a way of speaking, in the spot where they are teleported to? Traveling at the speed of light wouldn't break down our organic matter and remake it, it would just move us at an incredibly fast rate of speed. Two completely different things, but giving pretty much the same result.
