INDIA: Why do Indian men like to grope women in crowded marketplaces? Isn't that ual harment?

I went to India last month and while getting stuck in crowded market places, I got groped by Indian men. Not only that, but many Indian women complain of getting groped as well. Why does this keep on happening over there? I'm too scared of going back there again.
