Do my tarantula/Centipede need vitamin supplemented crickets?

I own a Vietnamese Centipede and a rose hair tarantula that i feed mostly crickets. Every once in a while i dust the crickets with a reptile/arachnid vitamin supplement that i was told they needed. Is this needed or is it just the store I bought it from trying to rip me off?
