My 2 months daughter has a very dry skin my mom said it 's just like hippo's skin any suggestion what to do?
I used Dove bar soap on my boys when they were babies; they are four now. It is not too harsh, smells good, and has moisturizers built in. Also, lotion for baby after the bath should help. Talk to your doctor about how to treat baby's skin now and how to prevent the skin from becoming dry in the future. Baby lotion can be found in most stores. The condition could be treatable by using alternative products to what you are using now, for bathing and moisturizing. For example, if you are using a specific baby body wash brand, try another brand, it may work better. Any time you have questions regarding baby, a good idea would be to ask baby's doctor for advice. That is what doctor is for, to help care for baby. There is no such thing as asking too many questions or being too careful when it comes to new baby's health and well being. Call and ask your doctor about what to use for baby's skin.
