The Sims3 closes every time I try to open this certain family?

I created a family on sims 3. Every time I try to play it, the game closes mysteriously. I've tried restarting the game and restarting the computer. I tried placing the family on different lots and houses. I tried placing them in edit town then selecting the family and clicking change active household then placing them. I even tried merging with an existing family and It still crashed when I tried to load them. Nothing I try works, and it is just this ONE family. I've had this problem before, and they only thing I could do was delete and re-make the family. But this one is a lot bigger and I don't want to remake it. Help?
